In just a few days the time has come: the popular Poinger Volksfest opens its doors! From Friday, July 11th to Sunday, July 20th, visitors can expect a colorful hustle and bustle that will delight young and old. On the opening day at 5 p.m. on Poinger Hauptstrasse, the parade with bands, carriages and clubs will lead the guests to the festival site at Hanslbrunn.
The big parade starts promptly at 5:30 p.m., followed by a celebratory moment when Mayor Thomas Stark taps the first beer keg at 6 p.m. The popular export Hell from the Schweiger brewery in Markt Schwaben is served. The music of “Lustigen Finsinga” accompanies the start of the ceremony and immediately creates a good atmosphere.
Special program items
The folk festival has something to offer for everyone! There will be a Pay 1, Ride 2 day for kids on Monday July 14th, a great opportunity to save on rides and treats. There will also be a volunteer reception the same evening at 7:30 p.m. that recognizes volunteer work in the community. Anyone who stops by on Tuesday, July 15th can look forward to the seniors' reception from 11 a.m.
A very special afternoon awaits families on Wednesday, July 16th, when reduced prices and a children's program await the little guests in the festival tent from 2 p.m. And don't forget: tablet reservations are recommended, especially for groups on special days. The printed version of the flyer was distributed to all households in Poing on June 25th, so that every family is well informed.
Attractions for young and old
The selection in the amusement park leaves nothing to be desired! New is the Music Express, a fast-paced ride, alongside other attractions such as bumper cars, lottery booths and cotton candy stands. The festival program also promises great evenings with party bands and themed days, including the “Business Day” and the popular “Family Days”. The final fireworks display, organized by ARGE Poing “Am Bergfeld”, will ensure a brilliant conclusion on the last day of the festival at 9.45 p.m.
