New clerical advisory board: Robert Schrollinger strengthens parsonage housekeepers!

The diocese of Eichstätt has a new spiritual advisory board for the parish housekeepers. Pastor Robert Schrollinger will take on this responsible task from November 1, 2025. The appointment comes at the suggestion of Sabine Radschinsky, chairwoman of the diocesan association of parish housekeepers, and was confirmed by diocesan administrator Alfred Rottler. This means that the appointment will be effective for five years until October 31, 2030, as bistum-eichstaett.de reports.

Robert Schrollinger is no stranger to the diocese. At 60, the pastor from Treuchtlingen and Möhren brings a lot of experience with him. He was ordained a priest in Eichstätt in 1990 and his career has included years as a chaplain in Hilpoltstein and Ingolstadt/St. Pius completed. He was also a regional youth pastor and for many years a subregency in the Eichstätter seminary. He has been leading the parishes of Treuchtlingen and Möhren since September 2025, after the previous leadership became vacant when Matthias Fischer resigned from office. Until then, the provisional supervision lay with Cathedral Provost Rottler, who is now also responsible for the appointment of Schrollinger, as the website of the Pfarrei Schwabach adds.

Commitment to the community

As a spiritual advisor, Schrollinger will primarily provide spiritual and pastoral support to the community of vicarage housekeepers. This professional association consists of women who work in church households and want to shape their professional and spiritual lives in faith. The expertise that Schrollinger brings with him from his long career makes him valuable support for the parish housekeepers.

The diocese of Eichstätt is in constant change. Departments such as “Church Development and Policy Issues” support communities in times of change, shortages and challenges caused by church departures. This is done in collaboration with the diocesan Bonifatiuswerk in order to actively shape the church of tomorrow, as explained on the Diocese of Eichstätt website. Schrollinger will hopefully provide fresh impetus and open up new avenues.

Particular attention is paid to ecumenical understanding, a goal that Pope Francis repeatedly emphasizes. “Every time we meet a person in love, we become able to discover something new from God,” this note reminds us of the importance of building bridges. With the commitment of Robert Schrollinger as a spiritual advisor, the parsonage housekeepers are well advised.
