District League East: Teams from Inn/Salzach travel to Munich in 2025!

The coming football season has changes in store for the teams in the Inn/Salzach district, as there are now a few surprises in the East District League. Loud pnp.de Eight district league teams are traveling to Munich this season. This is the result of a new division by the district game manager Hans Mayer, which brings together some teams from different leagues.

A lot of attention is on the relegated teams from the regional league: the two teams SV Bruckmühl and VfB Forstinning are in the game. The champions of the district league, SB Rosenheim, SV Aschau/Inn and TSV Ebersberg, have also fought for a place in the new district league East.

District league adjustments in Inn/Salzach

But it's not just the district league that's happening, the district leagues have also been re-divided. Chris Sofis, district game manager from Seebruck, has revised the layout of the leagues for the 2025/26 season, reported heimatsport.de. A total of 332 teams have registered for the coming season - that's one more than last year.

In District League 1 there are 15 teams from Flintsbach to the mouth of the Salzach, while District League 2 consists of 14 teams from Chiemgau and Rupertiwinkel. These new structures promise exciting local derbies and a breath of fresh air in the leagues.

The first main round in the district league begins on August 15th and ends before the winter break with the last games on November 9th. As usual, the teams fighting for points will revive the fight for the top places.
