Generous mountain donation for volunteers: help on the last few meters!
On Friday, June 13, 2025, a reason to celebrate was announced in Erlangen-Höchstadt. A generous private donor provided 3,000 euros for the volunteers on the mountain to support their important work. This donation is the third of its kind and will be divided among the respective volunteers. How Wiesentbote reports, such funds are crucial to, among other things, finance useful things for the paramedics and organize social barbecue evenings.
The generous North German has announced that this will be his last major support of this kind as he goes into his well-deserved retirement next year. Instead, he plans to switch to a monthly supporting membership in the future. To say goodbye to his generous initiative, he is also giving away five tickets to a well-known festival in northern Germany. The on-call members can put their names in the lottery pot, with tips being awarded next month.

Volunteering plays a major role in social life and offers numerous opportunities to get involved. Loud Statista Volunteering includes not only activities in sports clubs, but also with fire departments, churches and many charities. At the same time, it becomes clear how important financial support is to promote these projects.
In Erlangen-Höchstadt and the surrounding area, volunteers are a mainstay of the community. The local effort shows that not only spontaneous help is required, but also regular financial donations in order to further expand the infrastructure and commitment. There are a variety of ways to get involved, whether you donate your time, your know-how or even financial resources.
With the donor's impending switch to monthly membership, an era of large donations will come to an end, but the foundation for continued support of volunteers remains laid. In this way, everyone who is interested can continue to make their contribution and actively participate in shaping the community.
The importance of volunteering is celebrated not only on December 5th, International Volunteer Day, but also in the everyday actions of people who are willing to give of themselves to others. Anyone interested in supporting local volunteer work can find out more and get involved at any time.
