Art and enjoyment: Pop-up exhibition and Advent evening in Forchheim!
In Forchheim everything revolves around art and conviviality. Next Tuesday, December 11, 2025, the pop-up exhibition “I was here” will open at 6 p.m., providing insights into the fascinating history of the city of Broumov, Czech Republic. The location of the event is Hainbrunnenstraße 4, on the Frick site under the high roof. DJ Robot from the Czech Republic will provide musical accompaniment to the opening, creating the right atmosphere while visitors marvel at the exhibition.
The exhibition shows scribbles and characters that come from the religious buildings in Broumov and were left by the former German population. The two artists Epos 257 and Vladimir 518 have dealt intensively with the stories behind these graffiti from the 18th and 19th centuries and bring their findings to the presentation.
A colorful evening full of traditions
The event not only offers art, but also plenty of opportunity to enjoy. Büssing will take care of the drinks and appetizers so that guests can enjoy a glass of mulled wine and a little refreshment. The highlight on the following day, December 12, 2025, is a bar evening, also at 6 p.m. Here, visitors can end the evening in a cozy atmosphere with mulled wine and the popular Büssing drinks.
Another treat is the traditional mechanized Aldnbohl nativity scene, which will be on display at the event. Two dioramas showing a corner event by Julian and a classic car meeting by Piet will also delight visitors. Two built-up Carrera tracks and a cozy fire bowl provide additional entertainment.
A look at Broumov
The town of Broumov, located in the Náchod district in the Hradec Králové region of the Czech Republic, has a vibrant history. With around 7,100 inhabitants, the community is known for its well-preserved old town, which is designated as an urban monument protection area. The most notable historical buildings include the Benedictine monastery and the churches of the Virgin Mary and St. Wenceslas, which are protected as nationally valuable cultural monuments. The remoteness and surrounding nature of the Broumov Highlands with its numerous tourist opportunities contribute to the popularity of this town. Historically, Broumov was founded in the 13th century and has experienced numerous changes over the centuries, including belonging to different monarchies and political systems.
Broumov's contemporary significance is reflected not only in its cultural diversity, but also in its economic relevance. The textile industry still plays an important role today, led by the Veba company and its subsidiary Vebatrade-Plus.
Whether art, cuisine or history – the event in Forchheim on December 11th and 12th is a fixed date that no one should miss!
