Green mayoral candidate Laura Müller inspires the Olching audience
Laura Müller, the mayoral candidate of the Olching Green Party, recently provided exciting insights into a panel discussion at the Olching Adult Education Center. A conversation moderated by Kathrin Böhmer, editorial director of the Tagblatt, discussed her roots, her vision for the city and personal issues that are often overshadowed by the political agenda. Müller, 38 years old, is not only a teacher, but also a mother of four children, which further shapes her commitment to the community.
The discussion focused in particular on making the city family-friendly, with Müller citing the creation of more favorable conditions for children on buses and trains as one of her central concerns. “There may be too many cars in Olching, but not too few parking spaces,” she noted, adding that retailers could make better use of their parking spaces. She passionately supports the Sixty Munich football club, comes from near Frankfurt and sees herself as part of the Olching community, which continues to grow through her family and children.
The city in transition
A central issue was the future development of the main street. Müller was aware that a balance was needed between quality of stay and parking options. “We need to think about how we can make our streets more lively,” she says, opening the conversation about local transport and further improvements for citizens.
“I bring an external perspective,” emphasizes the committed candidate and sees her inexperience in municipal committees not as a disadvantage, but as an advantage. Her personal experiences have taught her how important direct contact with people is. Social networks are particularly important for them in order to better reach young people and take their concerns seriously.
Life behind the scenes
In another conversation, she reveals that she has developed a lucrative business model as a model and entrepreneur. “I founded my own company and am responsible for most of my pictures myself,” she explains, relying on stylish presentation and quality of her work. She turned down an offer she received to make a porn film because the amount was too small for her - a sign of her principles and steadfastness in her career.
Overall, the event was an insight into the different facets of Laura Müller, both as a politician and as a personality who faces the adversities of life. The next panel discussion with Maximilian Gigl from the CSU will take place next Sunday at 7 p.m., an opportunity that interested citizens should not miss.
