Career Tour 2025: Students discover careers in the Fürth district!

The career tour in the Fürth district was a complete success! Over 120 students from the graduating classes of Oberasbach, Roßtal and Stein middle schools had the opportunity to take an exciting look behind the scenes of a total of 19 regional companies. We went on a discovery tour with four buses, and the motto was “Next stop: training!” made it clear that the event aimed to show perspectives and make the diverse professional opportunities in the region tangible. Fürth currently reported.

The students were able to choose from twelve different routes that covered exciting areas such as healthcare & social affairs, administration & logistics, and toolmaking & plant engineering. They visited two companies on each route and had the chance to gain valuable insights into everyday work through practical tasks. For example, the young people were able to get hands-on with metal engraving, juggling plates or riding an e-bike. These interactive activities were well received by the students, which highlighted the positive feedback they provided for authentic insights into the world of work. The Nuremberg News adds, that the experience of a scavenger hunt, which was offered in addition to the tour, also caused a lot of enthusiasm.

From theory to practice

The link between training and career orientation is of great importance, especially for young people who are making the transition from school to work. According to the Federal Employment Agency Career orientation begins while you are still at school. Programs such as the Career Tour enable students to get to know different careers, understand their requirements and prospects and come into direct contact with companies.

One goal of the career tour was to stimulate interest in regional training positions. The event was organized by the regional and economic development department of the Fürth district in collaboration with the economic development departments from Oberasbach, Stein and Roßtal. This shared commitment is reflected in the strenuous collaboration aimed at bringing together potential young talent and companies in order to set the course for the young people's professional future.

Looking ahead to the next career tour, announced for October 27, 2026, we can already look forward to what new opportunities and insights it will offer students. The exchange between companies and young people is not only important for the development of students, but also for companies, which can get to know their future skilled workers.
