Christmas market in Garmisch: New location in the spa park for 2025!

Something exciting is happening in Garmisch-Partenkirchen: the popular Christmas market will be moving to the Michael-Ende-Kurpark for the first time in 2025. Where the festive atmosphere previously prevailed at Richard-Strauss-Platz, a new, beautiful setting is now being created. From November 21st to January 4th, visitors can immerse themselves in the winter atmosphere as the market will be open for a total of six weeks. The organizers, Gabi Hoffmann and Martin Pirner from the Garmischer Zentrum advertising association, are excited to talk about a “pilot experiment” that might even lead to a permanent solution. Loud Merkur GaPa Tourismus and SC Riessersee are also involved in the planning and implementation.

The spa park is illuminated not only with festive stands, but also with a large ice surface measuring 15 by 20 meters. Here, young and old can let off steam with ice skating or compete in curling. The SC Riessersee takes care of this ice rink and offers it for rent for Christmas parties and school classes. But that's not all - the Christmas market will be integrated into a larger event called "Winter in the Park" to guarantee a consistently wintery atmosphere.
