June 2025 level 5, the highest category. Among the affected areas are Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Schwandorf, Weidenbach-Weiherschneidbach, Regensburg, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Wielenbach. Special attention applies to the fire location in Wendelstein, where ongoing extinguishing work has taken place since Tuesday afternoon. A police helicopter supported the fire brigade from the air in combating embers. According to reports, the fire activities have affected an area of up to 30,000 square meters, and the emergency services have now ended the work. Nevertheless, the area remains dangerous due to possible subsequent delight. Regular air observation flights have already started in Middle Franconia and the Upper Palatinate.
