A major renovation project is coming up: The Woolworth building in downtown Günzburg is to be extensively redesigned. A total of 40 new apartments are planned, which will fit idyllically into the cityscape. Future of the bridge gate complex

At the same time, the renovation of the bridge gate complex in Rinteln is being pushed forward by investors Thomas Schuster and Marc von Pruski. However, there will be some unanswered questions at the Brückentor: What will happen to the hotel operations during the renovation phase and what will happen to the traditional Woolworth brand? Like that Schaumburg weekly paper reported that hotel operations will remain unrestricted for the time being until the new hotel rooms in the Woolworth building are completed.

Once the project is completed, the hotel tower will be converted into additional apartments while hotel operations will be relocated to new premises. A new breakfast room will also be housed in the new hotel. Architect Wolfgang Hein has made it clear that it is not possible to convert the business premises while operations are ongoing, which means that Woolworth will move in with a new concept after the renovation.
