A very special anniversary is being celebrated in Günzburg this week: The Bendl construction company looks back on a proud 80 years of company history. The shareholders Margot Bendl, Peter Finkel and Stefan Wiedemann, together with over 190 employees and numerous guests, are looking forward to toasting the successes of the past and at the same time looking to the future. Despite the challenges the construction industry is currently experiencing, such as the ongoing construction crisis and increased costs, the company reports that it is doing well and is preparing for the next steps. Bendl was founded in 1945, initially as a simple construction company. It quickly became apparent that there was a good knack for developing construction projects. With the region's first ready-mixed concrete plant, the founders laid the foundation for the company's impressive career. In 1975, Margot and Harry Bendl took over the company and led it into independence. Today Bendl offers five different business areas: project development, turnkey construction, civil engineering, sewer rehabilitation and rapid construction service. This growth course was accelerated by the founding of the sister company bendl HTS in the 1990s, which specializes in innovative building materials such as carbon concrete B4B Swabians reported.
A new era begins
A very special highlight as part of the celebrations is the official founding of the new planning company kreaplan GmbH. This subsidiary will act as an independent planning office in the future and is intended to further advance Bendl's innovative strength. The starting signal for this step will be celebrated in the coming days, all in the spirit of the company's new growth strategy.
The current major projects are also worth a look: Bendl is currently working on the new construction of the 247TailorSteel location in Langenau and on the new construction of Sunconfex GmbH in Leipheim. These construction projects are part of a larger vision that goes beyond the growth of the company. The will to create new living environments and promote a construction industry oriented towards the common good is reflected in the latest initiatives, which include, among other things, the switch to renewable materials and waste separation measures.
Growth despite challenges
Construction companies like Bendl don't have it easy, because the construction industry has experienced one or two turbulences in recent years. After the positive upswing from 2006 to 2021, the industry was severely affected by the corona pandemic and the war of aggression on Ukraine.
