A further step in the renovation of the closed “Boxxx” youth center in Leipheim has now been announced. After a specialist was hired in the spring to solve a vermin problem - particularly with mice - the next big project is coming up. The “Boxxx” is a popular meeting place for young people in the region. The open youth meeting is aimed at children and young people aged 12 and over and has established itself in the area. A safe space for young people
“Boxxx” aims to offer meaningful employment to young people who spend their free time in a disorganized manner. Despite the challenges with the containers, the “Boxxx” remains an important contact point. Integration of people with disabilities
Another aspect that receives attention in the Leipzig region is the offer for people with disabilities. The Department for Integration Assistance has various places available, which will be available from August 11th, 2025 in facilities such as Dry dock are offered in Berlin. These facilities specialize in supporting young adults with various disabilities and offer flexible options that enable people to live in a protected environment and receive support.
