Bavaria-wide: Big inclusion tournament in Sand – football for everyone!

On June 20, 2025, a nationwide football final tournament will take place in Sand am Main that will be all about inclusion. FC Sand organizes this special event together with Lebenshilfe Bayern, under the motto “We stay on the ball”. This year, teams from all over Bavaria will take part in the tournament, which has proven itself since 1983 and is a highlight for everyone involved year after year. The State Association of Workshops for Disabled People (LAG WfbM) and Lebenshilfe Bayern are the driving forces behind this event, which emphasizes the importance of community and participation.

The Bavarian Football Association not only supports the tournament with match balls, but also provides referees. In the first league, defending champions BVS Fürth and teams such as Wefa Ahorn, Wabe Erlangen and Noris Inklusion Nürnberg compete against each other. In the 2nd and 3rd leagues there are also many motivated teams fighting for victory.

The best teams in the 1st league have the opportunity to qualify for the German Championship of Workshops for Disabled People, which will take place in Duisburg from August 19th to 22nd, 2024. This is not just about sporting success, but also about promoting diversity and integration of people with disabilities in sport.
