There is great anticipation in the Haßberge Nature Park, because next Saturday, November 8th, the 21st Zeiler Forest Marathon is on the program. Sports enthusiasts from near and far have already registered and over 600 runners and walkers will be taking part. The whole spectacle is organized by TV Zeil and the “Red Devils” running group, who have prepared for the event with a lot of commitment. The start and finish point is at the Setzbachbrunnen in Zeil, where participants can look forward to a scenic route.
The route leads through the beautiful Haßberge Nature Park and will take runners past attractive points, including Schlossberg, Bischofsheimer Höhe and the Jägerhäuschen as well as the “Seven Lakes”. The half marathon runners have to climb a total of 420 meters in altitude as they complete the marathon route twice. In order to provide the participants with the best possible support, there are refreshment stations every five kilometers that not only provide refreshments, but also keep motivation high.
