Burglary in Ingolstadt: Witnesses sought after theft in the cosmetic studio!

There was a break-in at a cosmetic studio on Bayerwaldstrasse in Ingolstadt between Tuesday, June 17th and Friday, June 20th, 2025. Police report that unknown suspects forced open a window and entered the store. The amount of cash stolen is in the mid-three-digit range, while the damage to the window is around 500 euros. Unfortunately, the perpetrators fled undetected in an unknown direction, which does not make the situation any better for those injured. The Nettle is therefore calling on all witnesses to call 0841/93430.

This means, the criminal police have discovered several similar incidents in Ingolstadt in the last few weeks. Not only shops, but also social institutions and sports clubs became victims of break-ins. Another incident concerns a cosmetic studio on Goethestrasse, where the crime occurred between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. Here, too, the perpetrators got inside through a side window and stole cash. The material damage can be estimated at around 500 euros. He reports more on this Danube Courier.

Security statistics and preventive measures

In 2025, the number of burglaries in Germany will increase significantly. According to current statistics, there is an increase of 25% compared to 2020. Urban regions are particularly affected by this, which also explains the high number of over 100,000 burglaries in major German cities. Scientific prediction models have shown that innovative technologies such as facial recognition and smart door locks can significantly reduce burglary rates.

The integration of such systems can even reduce the burglary rate by up to 30% in some regions. Architectural designs, more secure entrances and surveillance systems also help improve security. Every year, more and more households ensure that they are equipped with smart home systems, which are often able to prevent break-ins in the first place. In addition, 67% of burglars are mostly from the local area, which underlines the importance of neighborhood vigilance.

Given these numbers, it is even more important that citizens in Ingolstadt and the surrounding area pay attention. Any information about suspicious observations can be crucial in preventing further break-ins. The police are also asking for your help here.
