On November 2nd, 2025, around 600 loyal fans accompanied ESV Kaufbeuren on a special train to the away game against EC Bad Nauheim. But the supporters who came along had to accept a bitter defeat of 5-0 in the end. After just eleven minutes, coach Todd Warriner's players were down 4-0 and all the celebration seemed to be gone.
ESV Kaufbeuren had to struggle with numerous injuries in Bad Nauheim. Players like Daniel Fießinger, Max Oswald, Joe Cassetti and Florian Reinwald were missing from the score sheet. Nevertheless, new signing Jason Bast made his debut as the third center forward, while Rihards Babulis guarded the goal. The opening phase of the game was dramatic: within just three minutes, Julian Lautenschlager, Jordan Hickmott and Lukas Ribarik scored the goals to make it 3-0. Kevin Handschuh increased the score to 4:0.
Excitement and disappointment

In the second third, however, the ESVK showed considerable difficulty controlling the game, which resulted in numerous losses of targets. The final third brought the final point when Taylor Vause scored the fifth goal for Bad Nauheim in the 49th minute. Jason Bast was able to prepare several chances, including for Alec Zawatsky, but the Kaufbeuren team failed to score.
