Kaufbeuren experiences Halloween madness: horror party with psycho clinic!

There will be another eerily beautiful spectacle in Kaufbeuren on October 31, 2025, as Stefan Petz and his partner Sandra Müller invite you to the Halloween party. The two have been organizing this gruesome event since 2023 and are currently preparing everything for it. Over 100 personal invitations have already been distributed and preparations have been in full swing since the beginning of October. Ghosts, skeletons and lots of spooky props come to life in three garages and a 27 square meter pavilion.

The motto this year? “Psycho Clinic”. Here the decoration gets particularly creative: bar tables are decorated with cobwebs and fake blood, while tons of skeletons are decorated in all kinds of shapes. Sandra has a special knack for decoration and refines the skeletons with cling film and wood stain, which is guaranteed to be a real eye-catcher. Petz and Müller are also focused on expanding their decor at flea markets and thrift stores while keeping an eye on the budget.

Culinary delicacies for young and old

Of course, your physical well-being is also taken care of. Petz's father, a butcher, contributes delicious bratwurst and steak rolls. A vegetarian potato soup is also available, which is served in specially labeled wooden spoons. A local baker delivers green rolls that perfectly add to the spooky atmosphere. There are also sweets and small toys for the children so that even the youngest ones can enjoy the Halloween festivities.

The neighboring community is involved in the celebrations - from older to younger neighbors, all of whom set up a “neighborhood lounge” where the older guests can relax in comfort. A neighbor even provides ten liters of berry limes, which come in the form of “blood” and will cause a lot of laughter.

The importance of disguises

Halloween is not only a celebration of horror, but also offers the opportunity to slip into other roles. Costumes allow celebrants to discover new facets of their personality and question social norms. As WDR reports, costumes create a protected space for creativity and interaction. It is a game with identity that brings liberation and joy.

Where does Halloween actually come from? It was originally a Celtic harvest festival called Samhain, where it was believed that the souls of the dead could contact the living. These deep-rooted traditions have changed over time but are still part of the festival. As bibleinfo.com explains, many customs have been reinterpreted over the years, while the core idea of honoring the deceased remains.

For Stefan and Sandra, it is important that the party is a communal experience despite its gruesome themes. Petz has already laid over 100 meters of power cable and has relied primarily on its own contributions to finance the party. Thanks to the voluntary work of the organizing team, the project will be a complete success again in 2025. Since 2023, almost 5,000 euros have been invested to make this event a reality.

However, successful celebrations not only end with fun, but also with a respectful dismantling of the decorations. After the celebration, the clean-up operation begins and the whole team looks back on an exciting celebration. On October 31, 2025, Kaufbeuren will once again be the setting for an unforgettable Halloween adventure.
