Rain, records and triumph: Mühlhausen charity run inspires!
The Mühlhausen fundraising run on October 28, 2025 was not only another sporting highlight in the Kelheim district, but also an impressive demonstration of community and cohesion. Over 200 participants have registered for this fifth station in the running cup, which means a new record number of participants. The organizer, SV Mühlhausen, was able to put on an all-round successful event in pleasant weather and slightly slippery conditions. Central Bavarian reports on the numerous impressions and the proud faces of the runners.
Particular attention was paid to the main run due to the impressive performances of the athletes. Adriano Miranda prevailed unchallenged in the men's classification and ran the 10 kilometers in a time of 37:30 minutes, despite a fall in the second corner. His fighting spirit not only overwhelmed those watching, but also earned him first place. Alexander Keil followed him in second place with 38:27 minutes, while Stefan Rengnath was close behind with 38:28 minutes. The results underline the high quality of the participants.
Successful women and young talents
Corinna Küffner also showed a brilliant performance in the women's race. In the last kilometer she clearly separated herself from Anna Roidl and finished in a time of 44:36 minutes. The young talents weren't left out either: Leni Rottenkolber, only 10 years old, took second place in the 5 km distance with a time of 23:05 minutes. Her performance is an example of the promising young talent in running.
The donations from the run go to the “Give Joy” association from Kelheim and to Kuno Regensburg. Such initiatives show once again how sport and social commitment can go hand in hand. Organizer Christine Fleischmann was happy about the large number of people and had to quickly order additional start numbers to accommodate all participants.
