Summer is in the air in Escherndorf, a picturesque part of Volkach! On two Wednesday evenings in July, the pleasure meadow is transformed into an open-air stage that invites you to feast and celebrate. On July 9th and 16th, at 6:30 p.m. (admission from 6 p.m.), music lovers will get their money's worth. And the best part? Admission to both concerts is free!
But what would a concert be without good hospitality? This also starts at 6 p.m. so that guests can fortify themselves before the musical enjoyment. What's special: The concerts don't take place when it rains, so enjoy the warm summer evenings in all their glory!
Music for every taste
On July 9th the duo “That’s it!” on stage. Carmen Hidalgo-Well and Matthias Well offer a diverse repertoire of German, English and Spanish cover songs. Whether calm ballads or rocking sounds – there is something for everyone here. The two place particular emphasis on their polyphonic singing, supported by guitar, cajon, a cappella elements, djembe and other percussion instruments.
A week later, on July 16th, the duo TimoLina will delight visitors. Timo Lechner and Lina Sieber interpret pop and rock classics, soul, German rock and Austro-pop in their unique way. With a gentle, homemade rhythmic accompaniment, they create an unmistakable atmosphere.
A part of the community
The gourmet concerts are organized by the Escherndorf/Köhler wine and tourism association, which has set itself the goal of promoting the cultural diversity of the region. Escherndorf is becoming increasingly popular not only as a place for wine, but also as a cultural meeting place.
