Now in Lichtenfels: Secure training opportunities for 130 young people!
The Lichtenfels youth employment agency's apprenticeship placement campaign opened its doors in the Lichtenfels job center on October 31, 2025. In a lively atmosphere, more than 40 young people took the opportunity to find a training position. The managing director of the job center, Michael Melber, described the intensive discussions that took place among those involved and that seven interviews had already been arranged. Over 130 vacant training positions were offered in the Lichtenfels area for 2023, an indication that the chances for interested applicants are high.
The event aims to enable young people who have not yet found a training place to quickly enter the professional world. Information on open apprenticeships and possible alternatives was provided by career advice experts and institutions such as IHK and HWK. “The follow-up placement campaign is intended to bring together applicants with vacant apprenticeship positions,” explained Michael Melber. Special programs were also offered for young people in the transition system and those dropping out of training, which made the support even broader.
Internships as a springboard
An important component of this campaign is the internship opportunities offered to young people. For example, Julian was able to get an internship at the company Stahl und Edelstahldesign Uridil. Managing director Steffen Uridil emphasized how crucial manual skills and the ability to work in a team are in today's working world. The hope is that such internships will be converted into permanent training positions - a goal that both companies and young people strive for. In fact, 11 participants from the campaign have already secured internships that could help them achieve their professional goals.
The Lichtenfels youth employment agency, which has been active since it was founded in 2016, is committed to supporting young people entering professional life. The agency brings together a variety of partners, including the Lichtenfels vocational school, the Upper Franconian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and even social organizations such as Caritas. This enables comprehensive advice and support for the young people. Transparent access to support and service offerings is the key to accompanying you on your path to your professional future.
Cooperation and networking
As part of the youth employment agency, various institutions work together to ensure the successful integration of young people into training and work. The service offerings are designed to make collaboration more efficient and reduce inhibitions. They are supported in this by an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS), which promotes cooperative work nationwide. The advantages of this network formation are not only reflected in the number of young people who benefit from the post-placement campaign, but also in the improvement in the quality of advice and faster placement processes.
For all those who are interested in further information or would like to be actively informed about current offers, Michael Wolf, career advisor in Lichtenfels, is available. He emphasizes that registrations for such events are not necessary, which makes them easier for young people to access.
An opportunity that you should seize, because the first step in the right direction can be taken today!
