Kronacher Band Blaubart: Rock, literature and blue beards!
The music landscape in and around Kronach has grown! The band “Bluebeard” was founded last year and brings a breath of fresh air to the region. With their relaxed sounds between rock music and literary influences, the group inspires not only music lovers, but also literature lovers. Holger Schmitt from Unterrodach, Stefan Blinzler from Kronach and Thomas Burkert-Mazur from Schmölz have come together to realize their shared dream of music and poetry. Particularly striking: When they perform, the musicians dye their beards blue, a creative homage to their band name. As NP Coburg reports, the drummer even has a converted bass drum in use - another sign of their creative approach.
“Blaubart’s” rehearsal room is in Marktrodach, which gives the band the opportunity to work out their musical ideas directly. Her special interest in aesthetic literature not only flows into her texts, but also influences her entire musical design. The interplay of rock and literary influences gives their songs their very own touch.
Artistic interaction
A look outside the box shows that the interaction in music can have many facets. In Zurich, for example, a trio is playing that consists of Christian Strässle (violin), Manuela Keller (piano) and Chris Wirth (clarinet, bass clarinet). These musicians played together during their studies at the Zurich Conservatory and, following their own paths, came together again in the spring of 2005. Inspired by Bartók's music and his opera "Bluebeard", an artistic familiarity emerged that shapes the band's creative collaboration. Her experiences in jazz and free improvisation could also be an exciting source of inspiration for “Bluebeard”, as the Bruckneruni shows.
The “Bluebeard” members also compose their own pieces - the basis of their musical experiments. This creative freedom not only promotes the diversity of their music, but also leaves room for spontaneous improvisations. All of this brings momentum and color to the music world, which always requires new approaches and ideas.
A look into the future
The further training of musicians is very popular these days. Where the pursuit of classical training once dominated, there is now a broader range of possible paths. Whether in the artistic and educational area or in independent music education - the possibilities are diverse. As already mentioned, the Bruckner University offers in-depth training in various musical disciplines. One of the goals here is to promote the students’ individual artistic development, which could also benefit the “Bluebeard” volume.
The combination of music and literature, creative experimentation and the joy of innovation are the things that keep “Bluebeard” and similar ensembles alive. Their passion for music and their courage to be creative are infectious and give us hope for many exciting concerts in the future. Who knows, maybe Kronach will soon become a center for innovative music projects!
