Cycling fun for the whole family: Kulmbach Cycling Day on June 29th!
A bright Sunday is coming, because the ATS Kulmbach's annual cycling day will take place on June 29, 2025. As part of the popular “Blaicher Kerwa”, cycling enthusiasts have the opportunity to embark on a picturesque route of around 35 kilometers. The event attracts not only passionate cyclists, but also families and friends who want to enjoy a sporty day outdoors.
The start is on the Mönchshof grounds, one of the most popular meeting places in the city. Participants can register between 7:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. to complete the route at their own pace. The entry fee for adults is 5 euros, young people pay 3 euros. Each participant receives a start card, which ensures participation in the event, as well as a medal, which serves as a great souvenir. During the event there will also be a raffle between 12pm and 1pm with exciting prizes to be won.
The route
The route leads through some of the most beautiful landscapes around Kulmbach. The path starts from Mönchshof along the cycle path along the flood basin to Petzmannsberg. Here we continue through the small towns of Gründla, Höferänger, Lösau, Kirchleus and Schimmendorf before the cyclists set off for Danndorf, Schwarzach, Willmersreuth, Mainleus and Burghaig. The return journey also runs along the flood basin dam.
Event support and community spirit
The city of Kulmbach supports the event, which Mayor Ingo Lehmann emphasized in a comment. He emphasized the focus on having fun cycling together and being together in nature, rather than on the time it takes to complete the route. This makes the cycling day a real family fun and is an expression of the lively cohesion in the region.
