Katalin Fischer's Passion: Drama with regional actors in Ammersee!
An exciting theater project is coming up: the premiere of Katalin Fischer's new production of “Passion” will take place from November 19th to 22nd at the Groundlift Studio Stegen. This modern interpretation of the suffering and death of Jesus Christ was created by the creative pen of the director, who grew up in Budapest with Jewish roots and now lives in Dießen. Rehearsals for the piece have been in the “hot phase” since September and the participants are already in the starting blocks.
The actors include none other than Thomas Eichinger, district administrator in the Landsberg am Lech district, who will shine in the role of the devil's angel. Fischer describes her work as a new interpretation that transports the old teachings of charity and tolerance into today and questions the story of the Passion from different perspectives. Symbolic figures are used here, which enable criticism and analysis of what is happening.
Regionality and art combined
The production combines regional art and is carried out by an ensemble of actors, stilters and musicians. These include, among others, Fanny Arnold, Mali Arnold and Oskar Emmert. The stage design, designed by Andreas Kloker, will take up water as a central theme and set visual accents. The production is also supported by the Rhabanus-Maurus Gymnasium St. Ottilien, which underlines the local references and networking of the art scene.
Musically, the performance is enlivened by a mixture of old and new elements. Strong images and haunting sounds are intended to captivate the audience. The highlight of the performance will be the moment of the crucifixion, which is intended to be both dramatic and moving.

This project is more than just a piece of theater - it is an invitation to address issues such as hate, violence, discrimination and racism. Katalin Fischer tries to use her production to raise important social questions and encourage the audience to think.
