On the night of August 11th to 12th there was an unexpected major operation in the Josef Deimer Tunnel in Landshut. Shortly after 1 a.m., the Landshut municipal utilities alerted the control center after smoke was reported. This incident brought both the police and the Landshut Volunteer Fire Department to the scene, who immediately raised the alarm for all Landshut fire engines.

The fire department arrived quickly and the various fire trucks drove quickly to their assigned portals and emergency exits.
