Successful MarediModa in Cannes: 3% more visitors and creative trends!
Everything that moves the fashion world comes together in Canness, and the latest edition of MarediModa impressively demonstrated that swimwear, lingerie and athleisure continue to be very popular. According to the latest reports from Fashion Network The trade fair from October 22nd to 24th, 2025 in the Palais des Festivals attracted a total of 3 percent more visitors than in the previous year. Managing director Claudio Taiana is particularly pleased about the increased quality of guests, especially within the upper and upper middle market segments.
Italy accounted for the largest proportion of visitors at 30 percent, followed by France, Spain, Great Britain and Germany. In a survey among the exhibitors, they expressed consistently positive opinions about the decision-making processes and reported a new creative enthusiasm that was visible at the trade fair. A highlight was the trend forum “Making Waves”, which was curated by David Shah and provided an impetus for a change in fashion.
Innovations and competitions
Three exciting projects particularly stood out during the trade fair.Flash!themed the marine world and showed innovative fabrics, whileAthwith the theme “Freedom is not for sale” in the athleisure segment.Seamin turn, spotlighted third-party expertise in the apparel sector.
Another highlight was the talent competition “The Link”, which set a record with 128 entries from 37 countries. The jury praised the positive and lively message of the submitted projects and selected nine finalists who were allowed to present their collections at the trade fair. The fashion show took place with the support of the exhibitors and attracted enthusiastic spectators.
