The community in Lauben is in shock: 36-year-old Valerie von Medinger has been missing since August 5, 2025. The mother of two disappeared after an argument with her partner. Their last telephone contact took place at around 9:30 p.m. on the evening of her disappearance. These nightly hours now turn into constant worries for the relatives.

Two days later, Valerie's car was found on her recreational property near Erkheim. However, the circumstances of her disappearance are mysterious as there is currently no evidence of a crime. On August 7th, concerned relatives officially reported her missing and since then an intensive search for her has been underway, supported by the Memmingen criminal police and police dogs.

A crucial clue in this case is the discovery of Valerie's wallet, which was found in a parking lot in Landsberg am Lech - about 50 kilometers from her last location. Police have launched an appeal to the public asking anyone who was near this parking lot on the evening of August 5th or thereafter to come forward. Every detail, no matter how small, could help clarify the case.

The region is worried, especially for Valerie's two young children, who are unprepared for their mother's disappearance. On social networks, family and friends call for help, which increases the emotional pressure on relatives.
