Variants for new construction and renovation
In the last few months, the district council has intensively discussed various construction variants. On May 6th, Wosnik presented the options for general renovation that had been examined. Three variants were considered to meet the school's requirements:
- Campus-Lösung: Sechs Einheiten, inklusive sanierter Bereiche und einem viergeschossigen Neubau im Südwesten, der Verwaltung, Aula und Mensa beherbergt.
- Zwei L-förmige Gebäude: Eine Kombination aus Sanierung des Bestands und einem neuen viergeschossigen Trakt für Mensa, Aula, Werkstätten und Klassenräume.
- U-förmiger Gebäudekomplex: Ein neuer viergeschossiger Bau im Südosten, ergänzt durch einen Werkstattbereich bis zur Gartenstraße.
Economic efficiency and educational aspects will play a central role in the decision-making process. The campus solution was considered the cheapest option in terms of fire protection requirements and was rated positively, as landkreis-miltenberg.de mentioned.
But the challenges should not be underestimated: costs could increase due to delays in planning, and a new building elsewhere would entail additional financial burdens. At the end of the visit, Zöller and Schüßler emphasized the urgency of the measures and hoped for a clear prioritization of the renovation.
