Future of education: District relies on practical solutions!

In our fast-moving times, education is becoming more and more important, in all situations. Especially here in Cologne the call for a functioning education policy is loud. A current discussion shows that education is viewed as the most important resource that can invest in the future. The idea that education must function in everyday life is being taken increasingly seriously by those responsible.

Secondary schools, vocational schools and technical schools in particular must be equipped with reliable equipment. The goal is clear: learning, training and career prospects should be available directly on site. In this context, a strong educational district is called for that not only strengthens schools, but also focuses on the training of young people. It is essential that a responsible and citizen-oriented education policy is pursued so that everyone has the chance of a good education.

The role of dual training

According to the current figures, there are 325 state-recognized training occupations in Germany. For young people without a training place, there are special training courses in the transition system that ensure optimal integration. The employment agencies take on the tasks of career advice and training place placement, which entails legal regulation.

International comparability

The diversity of training forms should encourage us to think outside the box. German training models could easily serve as a model for other countries. The aim of international vocational training cooperation is to combat youth unemployment and promote the exchange of dual elements. This puts the youth unemployment rate in Germany, which is at a low 6.2%, into perspective.
