Climate change is attacking: Innovative projects are transforming Swabia!

The effects of climate change are already noticeable in Swabia and the Allgäu. Extreme heat, long dry periods and heavy rain events are forcing cities and communities to adapt their settlement structures accordingly. In order to meet the challenges of climate change, the Free State of Bavaria has launched the “Climate Change(t) City Center” funding initiative, which supports forward-looking projects for climate-friendly interior development. This reports Allgäu hit.

This initiative supports numerous flagship projects in the region that aim to implement innovative solutions to adapt to climatic changes. Some of these projects are presented below.

At a time when climate change is becoming increasingly noticeable, the “Climate Change(t) City Center” initiative impressively shows how cities in Swabia and the Allgäu are actively taking countermeasures. Innovative projects are taking a step in the right direction to ensure quality of life and security for citizens in the region.
