TSV Neu-Ulm: Championship and promotion celebrated with new vigor!
TSV Neu-Ulm can cheer! The team, which struggled after relegation to the district league last season, has come back impressively and secured promotion to the regional league. Assistant coach Cem Staiger is full of confidence and looks forward to the team's return. “We have overcome great challenges and the fact that some players have remained loyal to the club has absolutely paid off,” says Staiger. The new appointment with Granit Niqi as department head and Stephan Baierl as coach has proven to be the right choice and you can feel the new enthusiasm in the club, reports the Augsburger Allgemeine.
A key moment on the way to success was the most recent game against SG Öpfingen on June 7, 2025. After Neu-Ulm was behind at the beginning, they turned the game around with a true comeback show. After an early deficit of 3-1, Oliver Schlotter scored the first goal for TSV, followed by three more goals within just seven minutes from Felix Hörger, Benjamin Klingen and Mateo Marić. With this victory, TSV Neu-Ulm fought its way up to an impressive 79 points and successfully concluded the season. Promotion to the national league is not only a sporting success, but also a great emotional triumph for the club and its supporters, FuPa informs.
Tradition meets innovation
But Neu-Ulm has not only caught up in terms of sport. The challenges football clubs face today require innovative approaches and new ways of thinking. According to the DFB, traditional club structures are often no longer sufficient to counteract the current problems. A rethink is necessary: clubs must involve all members in the development of new ideas and offers in order to promote club life and strengthen identification.”
The integration of all age groups into sporting and non-sporting activities is becoming increasingly important. “It’s about creating offers that focus on exercise, health promotion and fun,” explains an analysis by the DFB Academy. Clubs must recognize all their potential and use it efficiently in order to develop a distinctive profile and further increase their attractiveness for members. These approaches could also lay the foundation for TSV Neu-Ulm's future successes as it prepares for the challenges ahead in the new league.
The coming season therefore promises not only sporting action, but also exciting further development of the club, which both fans and members can follow with full enthusiasm.
