TSV Neu-Ulm: Championship promotion with new stars and fresh enthusiasm!

An exciting time awaits TSV Neu-Ulm: In the last 2024/2025 season, the team scored over 120 goals and can boast an average points per game of over 2.6. This impressive performance secured the club the championship title in the Donau/Iller district league and enabled promotion to the state league. “You can absolutely speak of a dream result,” says coach Stephan Baierl enthusiastically about the past season, which was characterized by hard work and strong team unity Fupa reported.

TSV Neu-Ulm's comeback was anything but a given. Assistant coach Cem Staiger remembers the difficult times after relegation, when the club was in ruins. Nevertheless, he and several players remained loyal to the club. This continuity has paid off, as the balance sheet shows. With Stephan Baierl as coach and Granit Niqi as the new department head, Neu-Ulm has made two decisive decisions that have had a positive impact on the development of the team, says the Augsburger Allgemeine firmly.

Looking ahead to the new season

With a view to the upcoming season, coach Baierl has a clear concept: the focus is not on a league goal, but on further football development and the integration of new players. “We rely on continuity, clear principles and emotional identity,” explains Baierl, who wants the newly signed players Fabio Kießling, Adin Kajan and Dusan Radovanovic to empathize with the community. However, there are also departures: five players, including Mateo Maric and Luis Sailer-Fidalgo, have left the club, and the long-term injuries to Robin Schuhmacher and Nico Kurz pose additional challenges.

Baierl describes Türkspor Neu-Ulm as favorites for the championship because they have signed many players from higher leagues. This shows that the competition in the new league will be intense. The relegation games should continue in the future in order to offer the fans exciting games. “These games are intense and well attended,” said Baierl.

A clear focus on team unity and the further development of the entire club characterizes TSV Neu-Ulm's plans for the coming season. In the new league it is important to take the positive experiences from last season with us and consistently continue on the path we have chosen.
