Musical journey through Judaism: Cultural Autumn in Schrobenhausen!
On Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, a very special musical journey will take place in the Blue Hall of the vhs in Schrobenhausen. The event entitled “From Toledo to Jerusalem” takes listeners into the fascinating world of Jewish music and poetry over the centuries. Starting at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m., Esther Lorenz, a talented singer, and guitarist Peter Kuhz will offer a varied program.
What can visitors expect? Among other things, those present can look forward to emotional Sephardic songs such as “Adio Querida”. Yiddish settings, such as “Vek nisht” by Abraham Reisen, are also on the program. Israeli sounds such as “Bashana haba’a” and “Hinach Yaffa” bring a modern flair to the evening. Esther Lorenz will not only provide the evening with music, but will also spice it up with anecdotes and lyrical recitations, which will make the experience even more lively.
Participation and other events
Registration for the event can be done either online via the vhs Schrobenhausen or in person on site. Technology and trends
In a completely different world, but no less exciting, we encounter the dating app “Sniffies”, which is primarily used by gay and bisexual men. Launched in Seattle in 2018, this web-based app has quickly spread and allows users to see their approximate locations as well as popular meeting spots. You can cruise around, chat and exchange pictures with potential partners without having to be registered beforehand Wikipedia.
The newly introduced functions such as “Vanilla Mode” for discreet browsing and the “Cruiser Filters”, which allow users to refine their search criteria, are particularly practical. All of this contributes to the popularity of Sniffies, which Mashable even called “the best dating site for gay men.”
The cultural highlights in Schrobenhausen and the interesting world of Sniffies impressively show how diverse the interests and offerings are in our region.
