Sad news from Neuburg! A tragic fatal traffic accident occurred on Friday afternoon that shocked the community. A 21-year-old driver from the Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district was traveling on state road St 2214 towards Rennertshofen around 11:40 a.m. Shortly before entering the town she wanted to turn left onto Sprösselmühlweg, but overlooked an oncoming motorcyclist.
This serious collision occurred in the junction area and the 57-year-old motorcyclist from Denmark was seriously injured. He suffered several broken bones and had to be taken to hospital in a rescue helicopter after receiving emergency medical treatment. Tragically, his 56-year-old passenger, also from Denmark, died at the scene of the accident despite immediate resuscitation measures. The driver was not physically injured, but suffered shock and required medical attention.
