On Saturday morning, November 30, 2025, there was an unpleasant traffic accident in Neumarkt, which once again brought the local traffic situation into focus. Loud Central Bavarian Mühlstrasse recorded an unusual incident when a 75-year-old driver was driving his car and a trailer into the city. The trailer, which came loose while driving for unknown reasons, rolled into oncoming traffic and caused a collision with an oncoming Hyundai.
The accident occurred around 10:45 a.m. at the intersection with Weiherstrasse, near the girls' secondary school. Despite the severity of the incident, everyone involved was fortunately uninjured. The Hyundai, however, which was driven by another driver, suffered significant damage. The material damage was estimated at around 2,500 euros, while the trailer showed hardly any damage. The police have initiated a fine against the driver and the exact cause of the trailer coming loose is still being investigated.
