Investigations into several burglaries
The current crime is part of a series of break-ins that the criminal police in Regensburg were recently able to solve. Two men were identified as suspected perpetrators and arrested. This was done as part of extensive forensic evidence and modern analysis methods, including a DNA hit, such as Regensburg News report.
The first case discovered dates back to August 27th. Here, a perpetrator broke into the apartment of a 62-year-old woman on Karoline-Ammer-Strasse and stole several cash containers, electronic devices and jewelry worth mid-five figures. The second case occurred on June 10th in a restaurant on Obermünsterstrasse, where an unknown perpetrator gained entry without any signs of break-in and stole a three-digit amount of cash.
The investigators have achieved considerable success in both arrests and apartment searches. In one of the cases, narcotics were even seized and an arrest warrant was issued for one of the suspects. It remains to be seen how many more crimes can be uncovered by the now uncovered network of burglars.
