Gottschalk is already deputy chairman and SPD parliamentary group spokesman in the Altötting city council, where he wants to use his skills to make a difference. But who is Holger Gottschalk actually? Born and raised in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz, he will be 51 years old on October 27, 2025. After studying biology and chemistry for high school teaching in Regensburg, he worked in various professional positions in Middle Franconia, Eichstätt and Marquartstein before settling in the Altötting district in 2008. He taught at the Kumax-Gymnasium in Burghausen for four years before finally passing on his knowledge at the König-Karlmann-Gymnasium in Altötting. In his private life he is married to Ursula and has two children.

New course for the SPD
