Things get particularly festive in Bad Windsheim during Advent. On December 3, 2025, the eagerly awaited musical “Silent Night” awaits viewers in the Kur & Congress Center. Espen Nowacki's production promises a modern Christmas story with soul, rap and a rocking Santa Claus. But what is this new interpretation actually about?
The plot follows young Gabrielle as she encounters a vulnerable couple on Christmas Eve. Despite an icy snowstorm, Gabrielle sets out to find a place for the two of them to stay, bringing up the true spirit of Christmas. Here, close reference is made to the narrative of the Gospel of Luke.
Creative and humorous elements
What viewers can expect are not only serious messages, but also a successful mix of humorous elements. For example, there are rapping Three Wise Men, an angel with a soulful voice and even singing goats - all of which are guaranteed to be hilarious. The production is also characterized by an elaborate stage design and magnificent costumes, which contribute to the atmospheric Christmas atmosphere.
Another plus point is the musical variety, which ranges from classic melodies to modern rhythms. The actors are experienced artists who have already appeared in major musicals such as “Phantom of the Opera” and “Jesus Christ Superstar”. The musical is therefore not only suitable for children, but also especially for all Christmas lovers aged 8 and over.
