FC Nürnberg starts training camp in South Tyrol: Klose on board!
1. FC Nürnberg has set up camp in the picturesque holiday region of Bruneck in order to optimally prepare for the coming season. On Sunday, July 13, 2025, after a six-hour bus ride, the team finally got ready at their team hotel in Gais. After arriving, dinner was served before the players went to their rooms for the night. The first training session will take place on Italian turf tomorrow at 10 a.m., which will further increase the players' anticipation.
It is none other than Miroslav Klose, the club's coach, who went down in history as the German 2014 World Cup winner and record goalscorer at the World Cup finals, who leads the team. Klose and his protégés will train in Gais until July 20th and are part of an impressive week of training in South Tyrol, where many professional clubs from abroad are guests. 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Arminia Bielefeld have also settled in the region to train for the new season.
Equipment and support on site
In order to create an optimal training environment, rehabilitation trainer Johannes Rösch has already set up numerous devices for the mobile weight room on site. When the second material transporter arrived in Gais at 5:10 p.m., the equipment was unpacked under the eyes of two enthusiastic club fans. Preparations are in full swing to offer the players the best possible conditions.
The amateur footballers in South Tyrol are currently enjoying their summer break, which offers the professional teams an excellent opportunity to train undisturbed. In addition to 1. FC Nürnberg, Arminia Bielefeld, for example, which reached the DFB Cup final last season, has also settled in the region. While Bielefeld is staying in Kiens until July 20th, 1. FC Kaiserslautern is training in Vipiteno for a week, and Ingolstadt is active in Latsch until July 20th.
