Traffic chaos in Nuremberg: Political meetings disrupt Friday!

There will be significant traffic restrictions in Nuremberg on Friday, December 5, 2025 due to two political meetings. The police ask all road users to prepare for possible obstructions and to avoid the elevator routes. As the Bavaria Police announced, the events start at 2:00 p.m. and end around 8:00 p.m.

The first meeting will be held at Cramer-Klett Park from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The planned elevator route runs through several central streets in Nuremberg and includes, among others, the Outer Cramer-Klett-Straße, the Laufertorgraben and the Bahnhofsplatz before continuing on to Grasersgasse and the Kornmarkt.

Demonstration with cyclists and traffic restrictions

In the afternoon, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., there will be a bicycle demonstration that will also move through the city. The cyclists start at the opera house and pass numerous important points such as the main train station and Hallplatz. The route finally extends to Adolf Braun-Straße.

Road users and vehicle drivers should prepare for traffic closures and prolonged disruptions. The police recommend that you avoid the respective routes as far as possible and follow the instructions of the emergency services in order to get through the city safely.

The planned gatherings are expected to attract high numbers of visitors, so not only the roads but also public transport could be affected during these times. According to the Press Augsburg Road users can expect significant traffic jams and delays.

It remains to be hoped that the events will be peaceful and that the participants and the residents will interact with one another in a level-headed manner. In recent years, a strong awareness of political and social issues has developed in Nuremberg, which finds expression in creative ways through such gatherings.
