The Allgäu Triathlon, a highlight for sports enthusiasts and spectators, is just around the corner! From August 15th to 17th, 2025, the Oberallgäu region will be the venue for one of the most popular triathlons in Germany. Around 3,000 participants from different nations have registered to put their skills to the test in the three disciplines of swimming, cycling and running. The event not only attracts athletes, but also promises exciting competitions and a colorful supporting program.
The first competitions in the Triathlon Bundesliga start on Friday, August 15th. There will be traffic restrictions in Immenstadt during the event, which will extend to various locations. Especially after 4 p.m., the roundabout on Bahnhofstrasse and Montfortstrasse are no longer accessible to normal traffic. Drivers are asked to use alternative routes via Oberstaufen.
Traffic restrictions and diversions
The city of Immenstadt and the surrounding area are preparing for closed roads. Main roads such as the B308 and the country road to Missen-Willhams will be affected. The town of Bühl am Alpsee also has to expect complete closures in the town thoroughfares, which could last until Saturday or even the entire weekend. On Sunday in particular, there will be extensive closures across the entire event area, which includes Immenstadt, Missen, Sibratshofen, Weitnau, Niedersonthofen, Oberdorf and Seifen.
Special regulations must be observed for residents of the region: Entry into Niedersonthofen is not possible on Sundays from 8:15 a.m. to lunchtime, with the exception of residents in urgent cases. Drivers should also not leave the B19 before the Stein or Rauhenzell exits, as the entrance to Seifen is also closed.
