On Saturday, September 7th, 2025, the starting signal for the 2nd women's handball league was given with some exciting games. Right from the start, TuS Lintfort and Füchse Berlin clashed in the top game. Füchse Berlin clearly won 38:28 and proved once again that they are one of the top teams in the league. The best scorers on the Füchse side were Saskia Wagner with 7/2 seven meters, Jonna Schaube and Lucy Gündel, who each scored 6 goals.
But TuS Lintfort also showed a strong performance, especially with the goals from Alea Mattig and Nathalie Corsten, who both scored 6 times. In another exciting duel, HC Rödertal narrowly prevailed against SV Werder Bremen 32:31. Here Anna Frankova contributed 7 goals to HC Rödertal's victory, while at Werder Bremen Emma Ruwe with 9/5 converted penalties and Luise Albert, who scored 6 goals, were the best scorers.
Leaders and other exciting encounters
The league is currently led by HC Leipzig, who clearly won against Rostocker HC 37:22. Marlene Tucholke was a key player for Leipzig with 6 goals. TG Nürtingen was also ahead in the derby and clearly won 34:24 against HSG Freiburg. Leonie Dreizler didn't let anything take away her bread with 10/2 goals and led her team to victory.
In another match, HSV Solingen-Gräfrath triumphed over TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen 32:25. Leverkusen's Lea Flohr scored 8 goals, while Vanessa Brandt and Sophie Pickrodt each contributed 6 goals for Solingen-Gräfrath. VfL Waiblingen also remains unbeaten and beat ESV 1927 Regensburg 29:23. Belen Gettwart was the top scorer for Waiblingen with 6/4 goals.
First wins of the season for BHC and Mainz
The first win of the season was particularly pleasing for Bergischer HC, which won 29:22 against SG 09 Kirchhof. Svenja Mann was the standout player of this game, scoring 10 goals. 1. FSV Mainz 05 also celebrated their first success and beat HL Buchholz 08-Rosengarten 30:24. Lena Feiniler scored 7 times, while Christin Kühlborn and Luisa Maria Hinrichs scored 6 goals each.
