Big Bach concert on November 2nd: Get your tickets now!
A musical treasure in the heart of Regensburg: Next Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, the historic Reichssaal invites you to a special concert evening. At 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m., visitors can expect a magnificent program of four large-scale cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach, which come from his Leipzig cantatas of 1725. Hansjörg Albrecht, an experienced conductor and artistic director of the Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Academy Hamburg, will direct this performance.
With him on stage will be the KlangVerwaltung Chamber Choir, the Munich Bach Festival Ensemble and outstanding soloists: Helena Huber (soprano), Sinja Maschke (alto), Kilian Brandscherdt (tenor) and Matthias Lika (bass). This performance promises to transport audiences back to the time of Bach and rekindle the enchanting sound world of the Baroque. The KlangVerwaltung, which has been known since its founding in 2000 under the direction of Enoch zu Guttenberg, has quickly made a name for itself at international festivals.

The tradition of town hall concerts
The town hall concerts in Regensburg are much more than just a one-off event; They look back on a tradition spanning over 50 years. The Historical Reichssaal has always been a place where classical music and the unique atmosphere of a historical setting come together. The coming 2024 season shows this impressively with a selection of seven concerts that will take place from April 21st to October 24th, 2024, including the prize-winners' concert of the “Jugend musiziert” competition and performances by well-known music ensembles.
The events aim to promote dialogue between the arts and showcase young talent, while visitors enjoy a varied program ranging from classical music to storytelling. The Regensburg Philharmonic Orchestra will tear the audience from their seats on April 26, 2024.
