Marisa Burger leaves the Rosenheim Cops”: A farewell with heart!

Marisa Burger, the well-known actress, is leaving the ZDF series “The Rosenheim Cops” after more than 25 years. Her decision to say goodbye to the role of secretary Miriam Stockl, which she had played since 2002, came as a surprise to many. Burger explains her departure with the long filming times and the desire to leave with dignity. “I don’t want to look back on my life with regret,” she said in an interview. Her farewell is planned after the upcoming 25th season, which will air in fall 2025. The last 21 episodes have been filmed since the end of March 2025, as of Mercury reported.

The series itself has a long history, which began in 2000 when the first episode was broadcast with Joseph Hannesschläger as Chief Detective Korbinian Hofer. Burger, 51 years old, has been there since the start and has established himself as a central figure. The thought of leaving the set gave her difficult moments. “I was influenced personally and professionally by this series,” says Burger. However, she is looking forward to new challenges and would like to try out different roles, such as ZDF today is held.

Reactions from colleagues

Marisa Burger's colleagues are disappointed about her impending departure. Max Müller, one of her long-time partners on the set, spoke of regrets and praised her as an outstanding actress. Igor Jeftic, her colleague since 2009, also described the exit as a “shocker” and emphasized how important her role was for the series. Producer Elisabeth Villotti is currently looking for a successor and is keeping a low profile about it. Possible candidates are rumored to include Younes Tissinte, who has already appeared in several episodes as Burger's replacement, such as Rosenheim24 reported.

The atmosphere on the set of “The Rosenheim Cops” is generally described as familiar and warm. A familiar togetherness that was further strengthened by Burger's presence. Nevertheless, the actress emphasizes the importance of listening to your own heart and not putting off changes in life. Fans of the series may have to get used to a new secretary, but Burger's memories will always remain in viewers' hearts.
