Big changes are coming to the world of the popular ZDF series “The Rosenheim Cops”. After more than 20 years of service as police secretary Miriam Stockl, Marisa Burger has decided to leave the series. Their decision came in March 2025, and fans are noticeably affected. Burger, who has delighted viewers with her iconic phrase “Es gabat a Leich” since the first episode in 2002, wants to pursue new creative paths and has already planned a farewell in the 25th season, which runs until autumn 2025. While the series is known far beyond the borders for its Bavarian humor, Burger's absence will certainly leave a big gap. The current season includes 21 new episodes in which we can experience the last time with the popular character. ZDF reports.

Saying goodbye is not easy for the 51-year-old, but she is optimistic. In an interview with the Abendzeitung, she said that she really appreciates her time on the series, but is ready to take on new challenges and develop professionally. "I don't want to look back on missed opportunities when I'm 60," she explained, indicating her desire to explore new creative directions in the film and television industry. Burger completed her acting training in Munich and was also seen in other productions such as “SOKO Munich” and “The Bull of Tölz”. Ruhr24 added.

A loyal ensemble

The characters and their peculiarities are a trademark of the series. The relationships among the cast are familial, which is evident in the intense emotional connections on set. Igor Jeftić, one of Burger's colleagues, is visibly affected by her departure. He has known the actress for over 30 years from drama school. It remains to be seen how the production will cope with this personnel change, as the successor to the role of Miriam Stockl is still uncertain. However, producer Elisabeth Villotti, together with Marlies Moosauer, is planning a worthy farewell for Burger that will certainly touch the audience. PR agent reports.

“The Rosenheim Cops” are not only known for their exciting criminal cases, but also for the special regional charm that has made the series a long-standing hit on German television since its premiere in 2002.
