Chaos for Christmas: DJK Weinsfeld presents a new comedy!
The first Advent is just around the corner and the anticipation of festive events is increasing. In the coming weeks, the DJK Weinsfeld theater group will surprise everyone in Weinsfeld with a humorous piece: “Holidays for Advanced Students” by Regina Rösch. The performance will take place in the DJK sports home on November 22nd and 23rd and November 28th and 29th, 2025, from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. There will also be an afternoon performance on November 23rd at 2:00 p.m. Rehearsals have been running since the beginning of September under the direction of Steffi Hiemer, and the stage design has already been completely completed.
In the turbulent comedy, viewers experience the holidays from the perspective of Elfriede Holzinger, who is frustrated and alone with her husband Hans-Peter. For Elfriede, Christmas is a test of patience: the Christmas tree stinks and the presents are inappropriate. While she struggles with her grief, Hans-Peter, who would like to become a city councilor, prepares for his candidacy, undeterred. But then things take a dramatic turn when an old, sensitive contract that Hans-Peter signed while drunk comes to light.
Chaos and unexpected visits
The situation escalates when the entire family shows up unannounced and decides to stay until the Epiphany. Elfriede, who is hoping for a way out with her saving idea, is suddenly confronted with chaos that messes everything up. The plot promises not only some laughs, but also a deep insight into the challenges of family life during the holidays.
