Vascular day in Eggenfelden: Experts explain carotid stenosis!
A valuable information day is coming up in Cologne that will focus on vascular health. On Saturday, November 15th, the Rottal-Inn Clinics are organizing the so-called “Vascular Day” under the motto “Understanding vascular diseases – focus on carotid stenosis”. The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the foyer and multifunctional room of the Rottal-Inn Klinik Eggenfelden.
A particular focus is on carotid stenosis, the narrowing of the carotid artery, which can potentially lead to strokes. The aim of the event is to raise awareness of this serious disease. Chief physician Matthias Wiesner will accompany the program and, together with numerous experts, will be available to answer questions.
Informative stands and specialist lectures
For anyone interested, there are various stands in the foyer that cover a wide range of topics. Among other things, a wound manager will be on site to present modern treatment options for chronic wounds. Nutritional advice is also available to give tips on heart-healthy nutrition. The Stroke Unit also provides information about therapeutic and nursing measures after a stroke.
From 9.30 a.m. specialist lectures will be held in the multifunctional room. Professor Dr. Christian Gleißner sheds light on the development and risk factors of arteriosclerosis as well as modern diagnostic options. Dr. Monika Sozanski-Cergan and Silvia Glasl address the need for operations, conservative treatment options and preventative measures.
Insights into the angiography system
Another highlight of the vascular day are the tours of the angiography facility, which take place at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. Here, visitors have the opportunity to observe an examination live and learn more about modern imaging techniques.
