Kevin Grobauer becomes the new coach at ASCK Simbach – change begins!
ASCK Simbach has landed a new coach: Kevin Grobauer, 31 years old, is moving from SV Würding to ASCK and is taking over from Muhamed Subasic. He announced his retirement after just one season for family reasons. Grobauer, who played for ASCK from 2013 to 2019 and was part of the district league champion team in 2018, brings a lot of experience with him. He had a good season in his last engagement in Würding, in which the team reached 5th place in the A-class Pocking after Grobauer only missed two games.
Sporting director Christian Allramseder emphasizes that the club is going through a period of change. In addition to Subasic, Haris Sistek and Dardan Gashi, who has to retire due to injury, are also leaving the club. “We have to compensate for the quality that we lose due to the departures through the collective,” explains Allramseder. Grobauer will not only act as a coach, but will also actively participate in the events as a playing coach.
Restructuring of the team
With Grobauer at the helm as the new playing coach, the ASCK plans to strengthen the team. New additions are already in the offing and will be announced soon. At the same time, Christoph Riedl, the long-time player in the first team, is installed as the new coach of the B team after the previous syndicate with DJK-ASV Stubenberg was dissolved. Riedl comes with experience from the state and Bavaria leagues and will now ensure that the B team becomes active independently. “It is important that both teams train together to strengthen team spirit,” said Riedl.
The current situation in amateur football is generally tense. Changing coaches is often considered as a last resort in the event of sporting failures. According to the Merkur there were some positive examples in this regard where coaching changes improved performance and position in the table. The same now applies to the ASCK: the right coach can turn things around and keep the team on track to achieve the goal of staying in the league.
The coming weeks will show whether Grobauer has a good knack for change. “I am pleased about the trust of the club and the opportunity to actively shape the change,” says Grobauer optimistically. The challenge is great, but for ASCK Simbach it could be the chance to start the new season with a breath of fresh air.
