Schwandorf is looking for a new tenant for the indoor swimming pool café – apply now!

From October 2025, the city of Schwandorf is looking for a new tenant for the modern indoor pool café in the popular Dachelhofen. The gastronomy in the indoor swimming pool plays a central role in the culinary provision of guests, and the extensive offering calls for a committed entrepreneur. Applications are possible until July 7, 2025 at the city's Finance and Schools Office. Enrico Blum and Michael Neidl are available as contact persons to provide further information about the application and the property.

The leased property covers a total of 74.40 square meters and, in addition to the café, includes a built-in kitchen of 16.60 square meters and an empties storage area with a cellar room of a total of 33.21 square meters. The integrated terrace of 43 square meters will be an attractive point of contact for bathers, especially in the warm months. In the future, up to 48 guests can be entertained here. What's particularly pleasing is that there is no contractual obligation to a brewery, which gives potential tenants a lot of freedom in designing the offering.

Restart of the catering industry under new management

The catering in the indoor swimming pool has only been active again since November 2024 under the management of Tatjana Böhm. Your team brings a breath of fresh air and a modern atmosphere to the newly renovated premises. The offering ranges from coffee specialties and homemade cakes to hearty dishes such as schnitzel and currywurst. Mayor Andreas Feller and pool manager Michael Maget have already shared their positive experiences with the new restaurant management. The opening times are generous, with a day off on Wednesday, so that guests can be pampered on the other days until the evening hours.

Lease contracts and their importance in the catering industry

A lease agreement is a crucial basis for restaurateurs. It not only allows the use of the premises, but also the generation of income from the business. According to the Civil Code (BGB), leases are clearly regulated and careful attention to the legal aspects is essential. In addition to the amount of the lease, the important factors also include notice periods and requirements for using the leased property, which is particularly important for catering businesses. If everything is tackled correctly, so many things can be successful and the culinary diversity in Dachelhofen can be continued.

Long-term orientation and the right sensitivity when applying for a lease could be crucial for interested restaurateurs. Furthermore, it is about the right combination of creative ideas and solid business practices to be successful in the gastronomic environment. The city of Schwandorf encourages anyone interested to apply by July 7th at the latest and become part of this exciting gastronomic realignment. Further details can be found in the respective contact details of Enrico Blum and Michael Neidl.
