Today the karate department of the Schweinfurt gymnastics community reports on an impressive performance at the Bavaria-wide open district championship and the junior tournament in Ebern. With a total of 27 medals, including 10 gold, 7 silver and 10 bronze, TG Schweinfurt took second place in the medal table among 21 participating clubs. An outstanding result that underlines the excellent quality and breadth of the team - even though four top performers were missing, as coach Thomas Zatloukal emphasized.

Successes of young talents
The successes of TG Schweinfurt are reflected not only in the medals, but also in the individual performances of the athletes. Jingni Li won the U10 -30 kg age group and also secured gold in the kata team together with Hannah Landgraf and Fiona Zhou. Leo Tille climbed to the top of the podium in the student +38 kg category.
The team was also impressive in the older age groups: Astrid Wiegand and Anastasia Just won the Kumite in the U16 -/+61 kg and U18 -/+66 kg classes. Hanna Rostiahai impressed by taking first place in two categories, both in her weight class (-/+68 kg) and in the open class.
