Catastrophic accident in Munich: four vehicles crushed!

On Friday afternoon, July 11th, a serious traffic accident occurred on Brudermühlstraße in Munich, which affected numerous people involved. At around 2:45 p.m., a 45-year-old BMW driver from Munich intended to turn left onto Esswurmstrasse. He had to brake, which resulted in a chain reaction involving several vehicles.

A 38-year-old driver from the Starnberg district, who wanted to avoid the BMW, swerved to the right and collided with another Opel, driven by a 41-year-old man from the Munich district. The impact was so violent that the 41-year-old's Opel was pushed into a parked vehicle and overturned. As a result, the 38-year-old was thrown into the oncoming lane, where he collided head-on with an Audi (driver: 29 years old, Fürstenfeldbruck district).

Injuries and damage

As the Munich traffic police reported, the 41-year-old driver of the overturned Opel and the 57-year-old passenger of the Audi were slightly injured and had to be taken to hospitals. Fortunately, the 38-year-old driver of the Opel that led to the collision was uninjured. The total amount of damage amounts to tens of thousands of euros, including a total loss of the 38-year-old's vehicle and the parked car.

Brudermühlstrasse was closed for around 2.5 hours, causing significant traffic delays. The Munich traffic police have started investigating the accident and are continuing to investigate the situation. Similar incidents show that road traffic in the city repeatedly causes dangerous situations.

The increasing number of traffic accidents in Munich raises questions, particularly regarding driving behavior and traffic safety. According to statistics from the city of Munich, the number of accidents in road traffic is significant and it is evident that without timely measures, safety on the roads cannot be guaranteed, as the overview on Statistik Verkehr shows.
